Music/Religious Education Specialist
MUSIC
I am responsible for teaching music to all children in the school. Each class has a music lesson once a week. In addition, I take Key Stage One and Key Stage Two for singing practice every Wednesday morning.
Also I provide scheduled teaching cover to enable teachers to prepare future lesson plans etc.
On Tuesdays I run an after school singing club, which is open to all Key Stage Two children, regardless of abililty, to experience the joy of singing. We participate in various musical events in the community, i.e. concerts at the Burnham Nursing Home, participation in the Highbridge Festival of Arts etc.
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
I am responsible for co-ordinating R.E. and Worship throughout the school. This includes the organisation of Masses in the school and the church throughout the year.
